Let food be thy medicine, thy medicine shall be thy food- Hippocrates
Almost 70 to 80 percent of human disease is
caused by unhealthy eating habits. Disease like Hypertension, high cholesterol,
Heart stroke, obesity and even Cancer can be caused by not consuming the right
food over long period of time, those who think they have no time for healthy
eating will sooner or later have to find time for illness. In this blog I am
going to discuss about what all changes you have to make in order to live a
healthy life style and how food can become your medicine.What you eat today will impact how you live tomorrow
Let
me explain this with a very simple theory which is the “C C C” theory. The first
C stands for Chance, Every day you have a chance to improve yourself and get
better but it is only possible when you value time, for example if one
continues to eat unhealthy food and thinks that he will quit eating when the
right time comes then I believe he is going on a wrong track, Time doesn’t wait
for anyone and chances exists only for a limited period when we talk about health.
So whenever you get a chance to improve your eating habits please don’t wait or
later on you will find yourself trapped in diseases which I have already
discussed above, Eat purely Live purely.
You don’t have to stop eating and neither you
have to start dieting, Food is the only fuel on which your body works. The only
thing you have to keep in mind is you have to change your eating habits, Let me
give you an example. The amount of Food you consume every day should not be processed
one, your daily food intake should be pure and healthy which should be rich in
phytonutrient, micro nutrients, and antioxidants. Your body needs vitamins,
minerals, water, protein, fats, carbs to perform on daily basis and it can only
perform better when you feed it with right food. Processed food lacks everything which can
benefit your health and consuming such food over long period of time is the
reason of major diseases. Stay away from packed food, flavored drinks (artificial
sweeteners ), White sugar, Saturated and Trans fats (Trans are worst for your
health so without thinking much please stop eating cookies, biscuits, baked and
commercially fried foods).
The Second C stands for Choice
Life is the sum of all your choices
and it’s completely your choice weather you want to live a healthy life,No one can force you to do that, but
it’s you who has to be smart enough when you choose something which is beneficial
for your health."Either you do it or you don’t do it", but once you make a decision
and stick to it the whole universe conspires to make it happen, Choice is yours? Remember what you eat today will impact
how you live tomorrow so I believe you will choose wisely.
The third C stands for Change
Every time you say" to hell with it, I don't care" and eat that cookie or bag of chips or whatever, there is a100% chance you'll care later

What to Eat
Nature understands her business better than we do. The Great
Einstein once said Look deep, deep into nature, and then you will understand
everything better.better. Vegetables, fruits, water,nuts, seeds, beans,herbs,spices…Nature
has already blessed us with fuel (protein,carbs and fats, water)which is
required to live a healthy life.
I will like to end this blog with few tips which worked for
me and I am sure it will definitely work for you guys, Eat green vegetables, Drink
water (it helps to get rid of body toxins so stay hydrated as much as you can because water
is one of the best medicine for your body), Eat fruits (some people prefer
fruit juices but I will always go for fresh fruits),Monounsaturated and
polyunsaturated fats(Canola, olive, and peanut oils, avocados, Nuts, seeds).Don’t
forget to add herbs and spices to your diet ,Remember Life is not merely being
alive, but being well.
